Today we arrived in Riksgränsen with train. 18 hours ago we entered the wagon in Stockholm that brought us all the way up north.
From springtime to winter.
It´s kind of windy at the moment…But we hooked up with a friend Jonathan for some rando action to get the bodies prepared for the coming days of heli skiing action! (we hope).
The reason we are here is to get on with the filmproject Très bonne Équipe, and a lot of our freeskiing adventures started up here in Riksgränsen in 1998.
More info will come

If you have a bad knee, yeah right, or just don’t dare to take on the challenge. You should seize the opportunity to enjoy some small talk with them, they are actually really nice!
Good luck during the competitions, Sverre and Oscar!
The upcoming weekend is an important one for our team riders! In Verbier both Sverre Liliequist and Christine Hargin is going to take on the impressive and startling “Bec De Rosses” in the freeride world tour finals. Christine is holding the fifth overall position in the total ranking of 2011 and has a shot at the podium and Sverre posses a nineteenth place! If you’re not in Verbier, there’s a possibility to see the competition via a live feed that will be announced HERE. FWT announced that the finals isn’t going to take place on Saturday as planned and they are going to take a decision, during Friday evening, whether the competition can be held on Sunday instead.
In Norway is Jesper Björnlund going to defend the Swedish honour as a representative for the Swedish Freestyle team, as well as an ambassador for SOS! Jesper is participating in the world cup finals in Voss, Norway. Before the finals, Jesper is positioned as number ninth in the overall rankings.
What a great week, filled with joy and big smiles! If you imagine the things that you normally expect from a conventional week of skiing and to that add one of the greatest skiers in the world: Sverre Liliequist. It can’t get much better!
During the week Sverre gave the participants pro tips and hints in how to perform a back country line and more general stuff like ski technique. He also gave a presentation on what it really means to be a professional freeskier and how be safe on the mountain. The week peaked with the birthday of none the less but just Sverrre and let me tell you: it was a great birthday. The week ended with one of the best après-skis ever, at Häggbloms of course!
Big thanks to all the participants and STS Alpresor for making the week one of the best this winter!
Sverre Lilieqvist and his sidekick on snowboard; Viktor Telégin
Today Sverre had his first day in Bad Gastien for the SOS Freeride Week. To get a feel for the area he and a small crew headed up the mountain with Robert from Freeride Gastein (if you ever go to BG this is your man!). Due to heavy wind they couldn’t reach the top by lift, so a pist machine gave them a ride. Different and nice! When the day was over Sverre stepped in at the ski store First Descent to get his stomp on, meaning he is experimenting to strengthening the back of his skis. The result will be revealed soon!
Would you enjoy riding with one of the best freeride skiers in the world? This is your chance. Between the 5th and the 9th of March SOS together with Sverre Liliequist and STS Alpresor are organising a freeride week in Bad Gastein, Austria. Sign up with STS and have a jolly good time!
