Ski Lodge Engelberg

For skiers, by skiers is the foundation for SOS, but also for a little mountain hotel in the powder mecca of Engelberg, Switzerland.

The founders Eric and Niklas are all old ski racers who one day decided quit their jobs to pursue a dream: To create a hotel that really understands what skiers need. "The first time I met Niklas was around 2003 in Engelberg. We were both competing a bit on the big mountain circuit, and had seen each other at competitions before." says Eric, one of the founders. "Engelberg, its record snowfalls and gigantic terrain never really left our minds, so one day we decided to leave our days jobs head back and open a Lodge here."

The Lodge itself is a building from the early days of the last century that these guys have renovated piece by piece to create a cozy place with a library with old ski books, an open fire place and Jonas "kick-ass" restaurant, with a chef who loves truffles and French cuisine as much as pristine powder.
